Chinese AI Model Maxwell Tops Meta-World Benchmark With Record 91.9 Score
Maxwell, developed by CAS Institute of AI for Industries, scored 91.9 on Meta-World, leading global embodied AI models on physical tasks.
Maxwell, a Chinese embodied AI model developed by the CAS Institute of Artificial Intelligence for Industries, has scored 91.9 on the Meta-World benchmark, the highest recorded score on the simulation benchmark.
Maxwell leads Meta-World ranking
The Meta-World benchmark was set up by researchers from Stanford University, UC Berkeley and other institutions to evaluate how well robots perform 50 everyday physical tasks.
Those tasks range from grasping and carrying to opening doors and using drawers.
The score places Maxwell at the top of a list that draws submissions from leading teams worldwide, including Physical Intelligence, Google DeepMind, Alibaba, Meituan, Carnegie Mellon University, MIT, the University of Cambridge and the Toyota Research Institute.
Shenzhen model takes second place
Among the latest submissions, from July, FabriVLA ranked second with a score of 90.
FabriVLA was developed by Shenzhen-based Youibot.
SUREFlow, developed by researchers at Kyungpook National University in South Korea, was third with a score of 88.3.
Maxwell’s lead matters because Meta-World is designed to compare performance on everyday physical tasks rather than only on abstract or text-based measures.
