Centre backs Andhra Pradesh's Amaravati Quantum Bio Valley project with full support

Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda has pledged that the Centre will extend full support to Andhra Pradesh for establishing the Amaravati Quantum Bio Valley, responding positively to the State government's request for national recognition of the project.

Speaking at the Old Government General Hospital in Vijayawada, where he inaugurated the Critical Care Block, Nadda announced that a technical team would be sent to Amaravati for further discussions on the initiative. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and State Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav attended the event.

Technical team to visit capital

The Union Minister appreciated Naidu's vision for the Quantum Bio Valley and assured that suggestions made by the Chief Minister would be considered by the Centre. The project, planned for Amaravati, is now set to receive national-level attention following Naidu's proposal during the visit.

State's health initiatives win praise

Nadda also lauded the State government's Sanjeevani programme, which aims to detect diseases at an early stage to improve life expectancy. He said the Centre would take a cue from the initiative and examine the possibility of implementing the programme at the national level.

The Union Minister further appreciated Naidu's commitment to the Polavaram, Veligonda and Handri-Neeva projects, stating that efficient use of water resources would contribute to the State's development. The assurance comes as Andhra Pradesh positions itself to become a hub for quantum and biotechnology research through the proposed valley.
