21 CBI Officers Awarded President’s Medals for Service Excellence

Twenty-one officers of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) have been awarded the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service and the Medal for Meritorious Service as part of this year’s Independence Day honours. These medals are conferred annually to recognise exceptional contributions by law enforcement personnel.

Six Officers Receive Distinguished Service Medals

The President’s Medal for Distinguished Service, the higher of the two honours, was awarded to six CBI officers. The recipients include Assistant Inspector General of Police Shobha Dutta, Additional Superintendents of Police Manoj Banerjee and Ginni Rana, Deputy Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kumar Samal, and Assistant Sub-Inspectors Ramesh Chand and Madan Lal Dhiman.

15 Honoured for Meritorious Service

Fifteen CBI personnel were recognised with the Medal for Meritorious Service. Among them were Deputy Legal Adviser Brijesh Singh, Senior System Analyst Girish Joshi, and Deputy Superintendents of Police Manoj Kumar, Om Prakash Chandra, Zahir Akhtar Ansari, and Ashish Anand.

Other awardees included Inspector Sarita Yadav, Sub-Inspector Roshan Kumar, Assistant Sub-Inspector Dilbar Singh Bisht, Head Constables Balkar Singh, Govind Singh Bisht, and Kamlesh Kumar Gurjar, along with Constables Pal Pandian R, Ajay Kumar Singh, and Kalyanadurgam Samiullah.

Recognising Excellence in Law Enforcement

These honours underscore the critical role played by CBI personnel in upholding justice and maintaining the rule of law. The recognition comes as part of the Independence Day celebrations, highlighting the dedication and professionalism of India’s premier investigative agency.
