Weather Alerts Across India: Heavy Rain, Storms, and Monsoon Updates

India experienced intense weather conditions on Thursday, with storms and rain reported across 11 states. In Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal, winds reached speeds of 70 km/h, causing over 80 trees to fall. Alerts for rainfall remain in place for 45 districts in the state. Uttar Pradesh saw rain in 12 cities, including Noida, where strong winds led to the collapse of 400 trees. Alerts have been issued for 38 districts, with 21 under orange and 17 under yellow warnings.

In Haryana's Faridabad district, a crane involved in flyover construction overturned onto a container, resulting in three fatalities. Rajasthan also faced severe weather, with hailstorms reported in Sriganganagar and heavy rain in Jaipur. A house wall collapse in Bharatpur led to the death of one woman. Alerts for rainfall have been issued for 22 districts in the state.

Meanwhile, Bihar reported lightning strikes in Bhagalpur, claiming the lives of a mother and daughter. Yellow alerts for rain have been issued for 12 districts, while heatwave warnings persist for 26 districts. Uttarakhand is also on alert, with orange warnings for seven districts, including Dehradun, where falling trees impacted moving vehicles.

The monsoon has officially arrived in Kerala, marking the start of the four-month rainy season. It has also reached parts of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, with favorable conditions for further advancement into Goa, Maharashtra, and Andhra Pradesh in the coming days.
