Collector Calls for Shaping Students into Global Achievers at Visakhapatnam Event

Visakhapatnam District Collector M. Abhishikth Kishore on Friday urged parents and teachers to focus on nurturing students into globally recognised achievers and responsible citizens. Addressing attendees at the Mega Parents-Teachers Meeting 4.0 held at Zilla Parishad High School in Adavivaram, the Collector engaged with students, parents, and educators, while also inspecting student-prepared project exhibits, including a drone model.

Push for Practical Learning and Holistic Development

During the event, Mr. Kishore instructed officials to organise a live demonstration of an actual drone to enhance students’ practical understanding of technology. He also reviewed holistic progress cards and interacted with Class X students to discuss teaching methods and available learning resources. The Collector commended the school for achieving an 88% pass percentage and highlighted the rise in student enrolment from 453 last year to 490 this year.

Recognition and Infrastructure Support

To encourage academic excellence, Mr. Kishore distributed study materials, certificates, and mementoes to outstanding students. He also assured support for installing CCTV cameras at the school to enhance safety and security. The event concluded with a community lunch, where the Collector joined students in a gesture of solidarity and encouragement.

This initiative underscores the district administration’s commitment to fostering educational excellence and equipping students with the tools to succeed on a global stage.
