Lions Club Pratapgarh honors educators for shaping students' character and future

Lions Club Pratapgarh Harsh organized a Teacher Honour Ceremony on Teachers' Day at a hotel in the city, recognizing educators and teacher members of the club for their contributions to education. Club President Lion Shyam Shankar Shukla 'Shyam' presided over the event, while Dr. Nishakant Ojha, former Principal of Lokmanya Tilak Inter College, attended as the chief guest.

Teachers and educationists who have made notable contributions in the field of education were honored with garlands, shawls, and certificates of appreciation. Among those honored were former Principal Kamlakant Tripathi, former Principal Pandit Lalita Prasad Pandey, Rajkiya Inter College Principal Kulshreshth Tiwari, P.B. Degree College former Principal Brij Bhanu Singh, New Angels Inter College Director Dr. Shahida, Assistant Teacher Rajmani Rajak, Scholars Academy Director Vivek Tripathi, and Lokmanya Tilak Inter College former Principal Dr. Nishakant Ojha. Teacher members of Lions Club, Lion Shyam Shankar Shukla 'Shyam', Rajesh Bahadur Pal, Pawan Kumar Mishra, and Lalji Tiwari, were also honored for their contributions in the fields of education and social service.

Speaking as the chief guest, Dr. Nishakant Ojha said, "A teacher does not merely teach the curriculum but shapes the character, values, and future of students. In changing times, the responsibility of teachers has increased further. The purpose of education is not only to make students employable but also to make them sensitive, disciplined, and responsible citizens."

Pandit Lalita Prasad Pandey remarked, "A teacher and a road do not go anywhere themselves, but those who travel on them reach their goals and build the future. A teacher's guidance provides the right direction to a student's life."

Kamlakant Tripathi said that in Indian culture, the guru is given the highest place. Society should always respect the experience, knowledge, and dedication of teachers. This initiative by Lions Club to honor teachers is inspiring for other social organizations as well.

Rajkiya Inter College Principal Kulshreshth Tiwari said, "The real purpose of education is to develop in students, along with knowledge, discipline, reasoning power, and a sense of social responsibility. Teachers should recognize the talent of students and provide them opportunities to advance."

P.B. Degree College former Principal Brij Bhanu Singh said, "The role of teachers in nation-building is the most important. Only educated youth can give a new direction to society. A teacher makes students capable of facing challenges through their knowledge and experience."

New Angels Inter College Director Dr. Shahida said, "In the present time, it is necessary to integrate education with technology, values, and human principles. Along with providing quality education to children, it is also the duty of teachers to develop confidence, sensitivity, and creativity in them."

Scholars Academy Director Vivek Tripathi said, "In changing times, teachers should adopt new teaching methods and digital technology. Technology is not an alternative to the teacher but a medium to make education more effective and interesting. Only with a teacher's guidance can students learn to use it positively."

President Lion Shyam Shankar Shukla 'Shyam' said that teachers are the strongest foundation of society. By guiding students in the right direction, teachers play an important role in the development of the nation. The club will continue to organize programs related to education, health, and social service in the future.

Dr. Ravi Shankar Pandey, Satish Chandra Sharma, Dinesh Pratap Singh, Rajendra Bahadur Singh, Ashok Singh, Arvind Singh, Krishna Pratap Singh, Madhukar Sharma, Ashwani Singh, Zone Chairperson Kusum Gupta Pinky Dayal, Kshitij Srivastava and Ashutosh Tripathi, Anil Pandey Vidyarthi, along with club office-bearers and members, played an active role in the ceremony.
