Uttar Pradesh Gets Dairy Investment Proposals Worth ₹695.18 Crore
Uttar Pradesh receives dairy investment proposals worth Rs 695.18 crore, including plans for plants and processing projects across the state.
Uttar Pradesh has received dairy-sector investment proposals totalling ₹695.18 crore following discussions held during the fourth edition of the International Trade Show-2026, the State government said.
The proposals relate to the establishment of dairy plants and were received after investors and entrepreneurs interacted with officials of the Dairy Development Department.
Dhanalakshmi K., Dairy Commissioner, Uttar Pradesh, told The Hindu that the department had shared information on proposed projects, potential investments, technical requirements and potential areas for implementation.
She said the Dairy Development Department became a major attraction at the trade show for investors, entrepreneurs, students and dairy farmers.
Proposals include plants and processing projects
The department provided information on investment opportunities in dairy and allied sectors, along with modern technologies, production, processing and value addition opportunities available in the State.
According to Dhanalakshmi K., the proposals include ₹457 crore from Ace International limited.
Anjum Dairy has proposed an investment of ₹50 crore to establish plants in Moradabad and Rampur, while Gauri Food and Beverages has proposed ₹14.65 crore.
K Dairy Farm has proposed ₹12 crore in Jhasi and Lucknow, among 18 other proposals, she said.
The department also informed investors about the schemes available for dairy-sector development and the procedures required for implementing projects.
The discussions therefore covered both the proposed investments and the requirements linked to setting up and developing projects in the State’s dairy sector.
Department to examine proposals
The proposals will be examined by the Dairy Department according to the rules, the Dairy Commissioner said.
The department’s stated objective is to increase dairy production and productivity through private investment, develop modern dairy infrastructure, and promote value addition, processing and marketing of dairy products.
The investment proposals are linked to a broader effort to connect dairy production with processing, quality control and marketing through modern technology and innovation.
Dhanalakshmi K. said the objective was to “complete the circle of dairy from production till marketing” while increasing the income of farmers and entrepreneurs.
She also linked the department’s objective to reaching the target of a one trillion-dollar economy through Uttar Pradesh’s dairy sector.
The proposals received at the trade show provide the department with a set of potential dairy projects to examine under the applicable rules, while reflecting the areas it has identified for private investment and modernisation.
