Traffic Restrictions Set for Nandi Hills During Monsoon Marathon on August 8-9

The Chickballapur district administration has announced traffic restrictions from Karahalli Cross to Nandi Hills on August 8 and 9 to facilitate the second edition of the Monsoon Marathon. The event will kick off at 11 a.m. on August 8 and conclude at 12 p.m. the following day. The marathon route begins at Karahalli Cross and ends at the scenic Nandi Hills.

Marathon to Attract Thousands of Runners

Open to participants aged 18 and above, the Monsoon Marathon is expected to draw over 3,000 runners, similar to last year’s turnout. The event, organized by the Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, is designed to appeal to fitness enthusiasts, runners, and nature lovers. Medical assistance will be available throughout the course to ensure the safety of participants.

Focus on Sustainability

In line with its commitment to environmental responsibility, the marathon will enforce a zero-waste and no-plastic policy. Participants will be provided with reusable water bottles to minimize waste along the route.
