India’s top 100 brands are collectively valued at $252.8 billion in 2026, marking a 7% rise from last year, according to the Brand Finance India 100 2026 report. Tata Group has retained its position as the country’s most valuable brand for the 10th consecutive year, with its brand value increasing by 7% to $33.6 billion. This growth is attributed to Tata’s investments in electronics, semiconductors, digital infrastructure, and electric mobility, along with a recovery in its stock value.
Infosys, LIC, and HDFC Among Top Performers
Infosys held its position as the second most valuable brand in India for the fifth year in a row, maintaining a brand value of $16.4 billion. The IT giant has benefited from strong demand for AI, cloud, and digital transformation services, bolstered by significant contract wins.
LIC Group saw a 12% rise in its brand value to $15.3 billion, driven by its vast rural reach and one of the world’s largest agent networks. It is also the only brand to rank in the top five for both brand value and brand strength.
HDFC Group, despite a 2% dip in brand value to $13.9 billion, remains a dominant player in India’s private financial services sector.
Adani Group Joins Top 10; Reliance and SBI Show Gains
For the first time, the Adani Group entered the top 10 most valuable brands in India, with its brand value surging 31% to $8.5 billion. This growth is attributed to its expansion in infrastructure, energy, ports, logistics, airports, and renewable energy.
Reliance Group recorded an 11% increase in brand value to $10.8 billion, supported by its diversified ventures in retail, telecommunications, digital services, and energy.
SBI Group, a key player in India’s banking sector, saw its brand value rise by 2% to $9.8 billion.
Other Notable Rankings and Fastest-Growing Brands
HCLTech maintained its momentum with a brand value of $9 billion, driven by demand for AI-driven services and digital transformation. Airtel’s brand value rose 6% to $8.1 billion, thanks to network expansion and enhanced customer experience.
In the IT services sector, TCS remained India’s most valuable IT services brand at $21.2 billion and retained its global ranking as the second most valuable IT services brand.
Suzlon Energy emerged as the fastest-growing Indian brand in 2026, while Adani Power saw a dramatic 152% jump in brand value to $1.8 billion. Other significant gainers included Yes Bank (up 79%), JSW Group (up 55%), and MRF (up 24%).
Taj Hotels Tops Brand Strength Index
Among India’s strongest brands, Taj Hotels retained its top position for the fifth consecutive year with a Brand Strength Index score of 93.5 out of 100. Zomato and Amul also showed impressive growth, with their brand values rising 37% and 22%, respectively.
The report underscores the resilience and adaptability of Indian brands, even amid challenging global economic conditions. Nine of the top 10 brands registered growth, reflecting the strength of India’s corporate sector.
