Shaheen College's Muhammad Sajid Scores 653 in NEET, Eyes 448 MBBS Seats

Muhammad Sajid Akbar, a student of Shaheen Undergraduate Science College in Bidar, has emerged as the institution’s top performer in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) by scoring an impressive 653 marks. He secured an All-India rank of 1,271 and ranked 100th in the OBC category, according to the college.

Other Top Performers Shine

Several other students from the college also delivered strong performances. Ansari Areeb scored 641 marks, followed by Aribah Azmat with 638, Mainak Kundu with 632, Syed Hamdan with 629, Pathan Sohail Khan with 628, and Adeeb Hamid with 626. Notably, five students, including Mainak Kundu and Syed Hamdan, achieved a perfect score of 360 out of 360 in Biology.

College Expects Significant MBBS Seat Allocation

Abdul Qadeer, Chairman of the Shaheen Group of Educational Institutions, stated that the college expects around 448 of its students to secure government quota medical seats this year. He further claimed that Shaheen Science College could account for 13% to 14% of all government medical seats in Karnataka. Over the past 12 years, the institution has reportedly facilitated approximately 6,000 government quota medical admissions.

Mr. Qadeer attributed these achievements to the college’s robust academic environment, focused NEET coaching, dedicated faculty, and strong parental support. He also highlighted the commitment of students as a key factor in their success.

Talent Search Exam Announced

In a related announcement, the institution revealed plans to conduct the Shaheen Talent Search Examination on July 26 across its undergraduate colleges in Karnataka. The exam, scheduled between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., offers high-performing students up to a 100% tuition fee waiver. Additional concessions will be available for rural and Kannada-medium students from the Kalyana Karnataka region.

This year’s results reaffirm Shaheen Science College’s reputation as a leading institution for NEET preparation in Karnataka.
