Senior officials inspect Pratapgarh police station, direct citizen-centric service reforms

District Magistrate Abhishek Pandey and Superintendent of Police Deepak Bhukar conducted a comprehensive inspection of Kotwali Nagar police station in Pratapgarh following a public hearing held on the occasion of Thana Samadhan Diwas. The senior officials were accompanied by Circle Officer (City) Ashutosh Mishra during the inspection.

The officials thoroughly reviewed the police station premises, office facilities, record maintenance systems, and various policing arrangements. During the visit, they examined the upkeep of official records, cleanliness of the station premises, the status of public grievance redressal, and other administrative arrangements. The inspection team also obtained necessary information from the police personnel deployed at the station.

Emphasizing the importance of citizen-centric policing, the District Magistrate and the Superintendent of Police issued clear directives to officers and staff. They instructed that all public complaints must be resolved in an impartial, quality-driven, and time-bound manner. The officials stressed that grievance redressal should be conducted with fairness and efficiency to ensure public trust in the police system.

Additionally, specific instructions were given regarding the maintenance of the police station. The officers were directed to ensure regular cleanliness of the station premises, systematic maintenance of all official records, and continuous improvement of policing-related arrangements. The inspection comes as part of efforts to strengthen police-public interface and improve service delivery at the grassroots level.

The Thana Samadhan Diwas initiative provides a platform for citizens to directly interact with senior district officials and register their grievances, while also allowing authorities to monitor the functioning of police stations and ensure accountability in the system.
