President Murmu and PM Modi Launch Major Development Projects in Odisha

All Eyes on Rairangpur as Murmu, Modi Unveil Major Infrastructure Plans

Bhubaneswar: Rairangpur in Odisha's Mayurbhanj district is abuzz with activity as President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi prepare to launch a series of development initiatives during a high-profile two-day visit. Elaborate security arrangements have turned the town into a fortress, with senior police and administrative officials stationed on-site to oversee preparations.

President Murmu is set to arrive in Odisha on Friday afternoon. Her itinerary includes attending a health camp organised by AIIMS Bhubaneswar in Rairangpur, where she will interact with beneficiaries and medical professionals.

A significant highlight of her visit will be the inauguration of a mega integrated rural piped water supply project aimed at benefiting mining-affected villages in the Kusumi block. Additionally, she will inaugurate the Matrushakti Bhavan of the Brahma Kumaris, a special circuit house, and new facilities related to the police district in Rairangpur.

On Saturday, President Murmu and Prime Minister Modi will visit Pahadpur, the president's in-laws’ village, to tour educational institutions and a skill centre operated by the SLS Trust, which was established in memory of her late husband and two sons. Both leaders are expected to interact with beneficiaries and students during the visit.

The president will also offer prayers at Gosani Peeth, Santhali Jahera, and Ho Jahera. Later in the day, she will join PM Modi at a public function in Rairangpur to commemorate two years of the BJP government in Odisha. The event will feature the inauguration and foundation stone-laying of multiple development projects, followed by a public address by the two leaders.
