District Magistrate directs upgrades at Shravasti school after student's repair plea

District Magistrate Annapurna Garg chaired a meeting of the School Management Committee at PM Shri Central School Shravasti on 25 August 2026, reviewing the institution's progress and issuing directives to strengthen educational standards and infrastructure. The meeting was held in the school premises and saw participation from key officials and teaching staff.

The school principal briefed the committee on the current work progress and achievements of the institution. Expressing satisfaction with the school's development, the District Magistrate offered suggestions to further strengthen the education system and emphasized the need for qualitative improvement in academic standards. She directed that all essential basic facilities be provided to the school on a priority basis and stressed proper arrangements and procurement of teaching equipment, materials, and other necessary resources.

In a notable moment during the meeting, Garg interacted with Maham, a class 3B student who had previously written a letter to the District Magistrate requesting repairs to the school approach road. The District Magistrate met the student personally and encouraged her to continue raising such concerns with priority in the future, acknowledging the importance of student voices in school development.

All committee members present at the meeting offered their suggestions and assured cooperation in the continuous development of the school. Chief Development Officer Shahid Ahmad, school principal Dr Ram Kumar Srivastava, other teaching staff, and concerned employees attended the session.

Following the meeting, the District Magistrate conducted a comprehensive inspection of the entire school campus, visiting classrooms and the library, among other facilities. She issued necessary instructions to the concerned officials to address gaps and ensure the institution maintains high standards of education and infrastructure for its students.
