Pandora Opens $150 Million Vietnam Factory, Its First Outside Thailand
Pandora starts production at a $150 million Ho Chi Minh City factory, its largest site and first manufacturing base outside Thailand.
Danish jewellery maker Pandora has begun production expansion beyond Thailand with a US$150 million factory in Ho Chi Minh City, marking its first manufacturing site outside the country where it has so far made all its products.
Largest facility in Pandora’s network
Pandora opened the factory on Thursday, describing it as its largest manufacturing facility and the world’s largest fine jewellery crafting facility.
The Vietnam plant is Pandora’s fourth factory worldwide, adding to the three factories the company operates in Thailand.
The facility will be capable of producing up to 60 million pieces of jewellery annually once in operation.
Pandora said the new site will increase its overall manufacturing capacity by around 50 per cent.
The factory is also expected to employ 7,000 workers once it is fully operational.
Diversifying production footprint
The opening is part of Pandora’s effort to diversify its manufacturing footprint and strengthen supply-chain resilience.
Until now, the company has manufactured all its products in Thailand.
Pandora sold 112 million pieces of jewellery in 2025, underlining the scale of production the company is seeking to support through the Vietnam facility.
Pandora’s CEO said Vietnam stands out because of its skilled workforce, jewellery-making tradition and supportive business environment.
The Ho Chi Minh City factory therefore adds a major production base in Vietnam while expanding the company’s capacity beyond its existing Thailand operations.
