Over 81,000 Ganesh idols immersed across Cyberabad in six-day festival

More than 81,000 idols of Lord Ganesh have been immersed at designated sites across Cyberabad Municipal Corporation limits, with civic authorities maintaining round-the-clock coordination to manage the large-scale religious exercise that unfolded over six days.

According to the consolidated immersion report released by CMC, a total of 81,315 idols were immersed across 53 designated immersion points set up throughout the corporation area. The majority of the idols, 66,530 in number, measured below three feet in height, while 14,785 idols were above three feet.

Circle-wise immersion figures

Kukatpally Circle emerged as the location with the highest number of immersions, recording 23,501 idols, followed by Kompally with 11,526 and Serilingampally with 8,495. Jeedimetla recorded 7,145 immersions, while Miyapur accounted for 6,256.

Chintal saw 4,408 immersions, Ameenpur recorded 4,274, Allwyn Colony had 4,015, and Patancheru registered 3,661. Nizampet recorded 3,257 immersions, Narsingi 3,024, Madhapur 2,828, Dundigal 1,846, and Medchal 1,079.

Civic arrangements and monitoring

CMC officials said field-level coordination was being maintained continuously at all 53 immersion points to ensure sanitation, waste clearance, access and other civic arrangements. Sanitation, engineering, traffic and safety teams were deployed to manage the immersion process.

Special attention was given for prompt removal of pooja material and other immersion-related waste to maintain cleanliness around the designated locations.

CMC Commissioner G. Srijana directed officials and field teams to maintain continuous monitoring, ensure timely deployment of manpower and machinery, and coordinate with various line departments for the smooth conduct of the immersion process.

The civic body said it would continue monitoring arrangements at all 53 designated immersion points and take necessary measures to keep the locations clean, safe and well-managed during the immersion period.
