Mahakaleshwar temple procession draws 80 akharas through Ujjain streets

A grand procession of Lord Mahakaleshwar commenced from the Sri Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain on the auspicious occasion of Shravan-Bhadau months. The royal procession, carrying the deity in regal splendor, will pass through the main routes of the city before returning to the Sri Mahakaleshwar temple.

Around 80 akharas and tableaux will participate prominently in the procession. Baba Mahakal and Sri Chandramauleshwar Ji are seated in royal form during the ceremonial journey.

The procession has brought festive cheer to Ujjain as devotees celebrate with chants of Jai Mahakal. The event marks a significant religious celebration during the holy months, drawing participants from various religious organizations and groups who will accompany the procession through the city's principal thoroughfares.
