Li Bingbing Credits Younger Sister Li Xue for Her Hollywood Success

Chinese actress Li Bingbing credits success to younger sister who acts as manager, confidante

Li Bingbing has credited her rise from a humble working-class family in northeast China to a celebrated career on the Hollywood stage to a journey shared with her younger sister, Li Xue.

Li Bingbing has highlighted the considerable sacrifices Li Xue made for her career and asserted that she could die for her sister.

From journalism to managing a major career

Li Xue, 51, moved from journalism into the role of Li Bingbing’s manager, becoming a central figure in the actress’s professional life.

The sisters also co-founded Hesong Entertainment, a talent company that has represented performers across generations.

Their partnership has made them one of China’s most prominent sibling partnerships in the entertainment industry.

The account of Li Bingbing’s career therefore places her sister not only in a personal role as a confidante, but also in the professional work behind the actress’s long-running ascent.

That ascent has continued to give Li Bingbing a substantial public profile: she has over 42 million followers on Weibo.

Sohu News estimates her personal wealth at over 1 billion yuan (US$150 million), although that figure has not been independently verified.

Together, the sisters’ story links Li Bingbing’s international recognition with the sacrifices, management and shared business work attributed to Li Xue.
