Jhansi UP PET Candidate Allegedly Caught Hiding Device Inside Sanitary Pad

A candidate was caught at an examination centre in Uttar Pradesh’s Jhansi after allegedly bringing an electronic device hidden inside a sanitary pad to the UP PET examination.

The incident took place during the second shift of the UP PET exam at a college in the Nawabad police station area. According to the information available, the candidate had concealed the electronic device inside a sanitary pad and placed it in his underwear before entering the examination centre.

The plan appeared to be fully prepared, but a buzzing-like sound inside the examination hall exposed the alleged method. The unusual sound raised the suspicion of the invigilator present at the centre.

The invigilator then searched the candidate. During the search, the hidden electronic device was recovered from his possession. The discovery left those present at the examination centre surprised.

Jhansi SP City Preeti Singh said that the candidate had been identified as Akash Patel, a resident of Prayagraj.

According to the police, Akash Patel was using the device to cheat in the examination. Police said further legal action was now being taken in the case.

The case came to light after the sound from the device drew attention inside the hall. The candidate had managed to bring the device into the centre by hiding it in his underwear, but the buzzing sound led to the search and subsequent recovery.
