Indore Showroom Fire: 20 Rescued Using Ladders and Ropes

A major fire erupted at an electric vehicle showroom in Indore's Lasudia area near Khalsa Chowk early Friday morning. The incident occurred around 7 AM, trapping 20 residents from six families living on the upper floors of the building. The fire, suspected to have been caused by a short circuit, filled the building with smoke, waking up the residents who were sleeping at the time.

Neighbors from an adjacent multi-story building quickly came to the rescue. Using ladders and ropes, they created a makeshift escape route between the rooftops of the two buildings. Some trapped individuals climbed across the ladders to safety, while others used ropes to descend to the ground. Fortunately, the fire did not spread to the residential flats, and the belongings of the residents remained intact. However, all electric vehicles stored in the showroom were destroyed in the blaze.

Firefighters, led by officer Shobharam Malviya, managed to extinguish the fire within an hour using two water tankers. No injuries or fatalities were reported in the incident. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
