Indian-origin pilot Dave Fiji lost his life in a helicopter crash in Georgia, USA, just hours after his wedding. The tragic incident occurred on Friday after Dave and his wife Jesni departed from their wedding venue, 'The River' in Dawsonville, in a Robinson R66 helicopter. The couple had planned to travel to DeKalb-Peachtree Airport and spend the night in Atlanta. However, the helicopter crashed shortly after takeoff in a dense forested area near Dawsonville.

Jesni, who was injured in the crash, remained trapped in the wreckage for approximately six hours before being rescued. According to family members, she sustained multiple injuries but no broken bones. She is recovering physically but is deeply affected by the loss of her husband.

Dave Fiji, who worked as a first officer with Delta Air Lines, had expressed concerns about the weather conditions prior to the flight. His father, George Fiji, stated that visibility was near zero due to fog and rain at the time of the crash.
