A 27-year-old man in Hathras suffered serious burn injuries after he climbed onto a transformer near his house while allegedly under the influence of alcohol. The incident took place in Jogiyaa village, under the jurisdiction of Hathras Gate Kotwali, late on Wednesday night.

The man, identified as Bhimsen, came in contact with an electricity line while he was on the transformer. He was badly burned and fell to the ground. The incident caused panic at the spot, and local residents were alarmed after learning what had happened.

Bhimsen’s family members took him to the district hospital for treatment. His condition was reported to be serious. Doctors began treating him at the hospital and continued to monitor his condition.

According to information available about the incident, Bhimsen, a resident of Jogiyaa village, works in making silver ornaments. He is unmarried.

His family members said that he had been asking for a scooter for Dhanteras for the past several days. A dispute had taken place between Bhimsen and his mother on Wednesday over this demand.

It was also reported that Bhimsen was under the influence of alcohol when the incident occurred. According to his family, at around one o’clock on Wednesday night, he climbed onto the transformer installed near the house.

While he was on the transformer, he came in contact with the electricity line. The electric shock left him severely burned, after which he fell down. The incident immediately created an atmosphere of panic among people in the village.

After receiving information about the incident, police reached the spot and gathered details about what had happened. The injured man was subsequently taken to the district hospital by his family.

His treatment was being carried out under the supervision of doctors. The incident also remained a topic of discussion in the village.
