Hathras-based Kinnar community guru Manisha Guru has rejected the allegations made against her as baseless and has demanded an impartial investigation into the entire matter from the district administration.
Manisha Guru said that the allegations claiming she had pressured people to offer namaz and consume meat and liquor were completely unfounded. She denied the accusations and called for the facts of the case to be examined fairly.
Manisha Guru said she personally follows Sanatan Dharma. She added that she takes part in various Sanatani programmes and also performs पूजा-पाठ. She clarified that the Kinnar community is not limited to any one religion or community. According to her, people in the community can have different religious and social backgrounds.
She alleged that a dispute was being created with her over a demand for a separate area or share. Manisha Guru claimed that this dispute was the reason fabricated allegations were being levelled against her repeatedly. She said the issue of हिस्सेदारी was at the centre of the entire matter.
Manisha Guru also expressed concern about some people undergoing gender change and joining the Kinnar community, after which they were encouraging others to move in the same direction. She apprehended that such activities could create a situation of social imbalance and disputes in the future. These allegations, however, have not been independently verified.
She has asked the district administration to conduct a serious investigation and bring all the facts related to the matter into the public domain. Manisha Guru said that if she is found guilty during the investigation, strict legal action should be taken against her according to the rules.
At the same time, she said that if the allegations made against her are found to be false, action should also be taken against the people who made them, in accordance with the law.
Manisha Guru said that only an impartial investigation would establish the truth and ensure that no side was treated unfairly. The next developments in the matter will depend on the administration’s investigation and the action that follows.
