Hasan Nawaz Hits 79 as Pakistan Set England 303-Run Chase

Pakistan were set at 302, with England chasing 303 to beat them in the men’s tri-series cricket ODI.

The match was part of the ODI Tri-Series 2026, according to a Cricbuzz report focused on Hasan Nawaz’s batting.

That report recorded Nawaz’s score as 79 against England.

A separate Cricinfo report said that Nawaz and Minhas’ fifties led Pakistan to 302.

The two reports place Nawaz’s innings at the centre of Pakistan’s effort, while also crediting Minhas with a fifty.

Nawaz’s 79 is the individual score specifically identified in the supplied coverage of Pakistan’s total.

The score gave England a target of 303 in the men’s tri-series ODI.

The Guardian’s live report described England as chasing that target to beat Pakistan.

Nawaz’s dismissal was separately highlighted by Sky Sports in coverage of the match.

According to Sky Sports, Jamie Overton removed Nawaz with a yorker.

The delivery was described with the exclamation, “Beauty!”

The same Sky Sports headline referred to Nawaz as “dangerous” at the time of his dismissal.

That description underlined the importance attached to his innings in the available match coverage.

The reports therefore connect three key details: Nawaz’s 79, Pakistan’s total of 302 and England’s chase of 303.

They also record the manner of Nawaz’s dismissal, with Overton’s yorker ending his contribution.

The supplied coverage does not provide further ball-by-ball details, additional individual scores or the result of England’s chase.
