Four companies blacklisted after forged bank guarantees discovered in Kanpur recruitment

Four companies have been blacklisted on the Government e-Marketplace portal and an FIR has been lodged after they were caught submitting forged bank guarantees during a manpower outsourcing recruitment process for the Basic Education Department in Kanpur Dehat. The fraud came to light following strict scrutiny by District Magistrate Kapil Singh, who noticed discrepancies in the documents submitted by the firms.

The case unfolded when files related to manpower outsourcing services for the Basic Education Department were presented before the District Magistrate for approval. During his review, DM Kapil Singh grew suspicious about the bank EMD (Earnest Money Deposit) and FDR documents submitted by several bidders. Acting on his instinct, he immediately ordered the Lead District Manager and Deputy Commissioner (State Tax) to conduct physical verification of the bank guarantees with the concerned banks. The verification confirmed that the bank EMD and FDR documents submitted by all four firms were completely forged and fabricated.

The companies identified in the fraud are M/s Weaversoft Solutions Private Limited from Faizabad Road, Lucknow; M/s SBNK Enterprises from Sanjay Gandhi Puram, Lucknow; M/s AS Infratech from Gomti Nagar Extension, Uttar Pradesh; and M/s Gangotri Manpower & Security Agency from Meerut Road, Karnal. Following the discovery, DM Kapil Singh issued strict instructions to the Chief Development Officer and District Basic Education Officer to take immediate action against the accused entities.

In compliance with the DM's orders, all four companies have been blacklisted on the GeM portal, effectively barring them from participating in any future government tender processes. An FIR has also been registered under serious sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023, and legal investigation has been initiated. The district administration has sent a clear message that any attempt at fraud or submission of forged documents in government work, tenders, or recruitment processes will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
