Delhi University Professor Found Dead in Vasundhara Enclave Flat

Devosmita Paul, a 45-year-old assistant professor at Delhi University's Shivaji College, was found dead in her flat in Vasundhara Enclave, East Delhi, on Thursday. She had been living alone in the flat since separating from her husband in 2022. According to her sister, Devarati Paul, Devosmita had not been answering calls since the morning. Upon reaching the flat, Devarati found the door locked from the outside. After breaking the lock, she discovered her sister's lifeless body inside.

Police, along with crime and forensic teams, arrived at the scene to investigate. The entire flat was photographed and videographed, and the body was sent for post-mortem examination. The cause of death will be determined after the post-mortem report is received. Police have registered a case and are reviewing CCTV footage from the area. As of Friday, no leads have been found regarding any suspects.

Devosmita Paul was married in 2017, but her marital life reportedly faced challenges, leading to her separation from her husband in 2022. While she lived in Delhi, her husband resides in Bengaluru. Police have noted that her personal life had been stressful in recent times.
