M. Satya Prasad, Deputy General Manager of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), has called on engineering students to prioritise artificial intelligence, robotics and quantum technologies as pathways to stronger career prospects. He made the appeal while inaugurating freshers' day celebrations at Avanthi's St. Theressa Engineering College in Garividi, Vizianagaram district.

Focus on certificate courses from first year

Speaking at the event, Mr. Satya Prasad advised students across all engineering branches to pursue certificate courses in emerging technologies starting from their first year itself. The approach, he suggested, would help them enhance their knowledge and build robust career opportunities.

G. Satyanarayana, Principal of Government Polytechnic College, emphasised the importance of practical knowledge in chosen subjects, saying students must focus on hands-on learning to gain confidence and develop new ideas.

Infrastructure upgrades to support learning

College chairman Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao, who jointly inaugurated the function, said the management had improved infrastructure and constructed new laboratories to help students understand new technologies and conduct experiments regularly. Avanthi College Principal J. Bala Bhaskara Rao, Vice Principal B. Venkata Ramana and Administrative Officer G. Anil Kumar attended the event.
