Bengaluru murder: Woman strangled by live-in partner in Malleswar

A shocking murder-case murder has come to light in Bengaluru’s Malleswaram area, where a 20-year-old woman was allegedly strangled to death by her live-in partner following a heated argument. The incident, which occurred on June 13, has left the local community in disbelief.

The victim, identified as Anusha N.D., was living with Sharath, 25, a water tanker driver, for the past six months. Both hailed from Sakleshpur and had reportedly connected through social media before deciding to move in together. According to police, the altercation between the couple escalated, leading Sharath to allegedly strangle Anusha in a fit of rage.

The crime came to light on June 14 when Sharath reportedly confessed to a friend, who is a lawyer, about the murder. The lawyer immediately informed the police, who rushed to the scene. Upon reaching the house, officers found it locked but noticed a key near a window. They gained entry and discovered Anusha’s lifeless body inside the premises. The body was subsequently sent to Bowring Hospital for post-mortem examination.

Sharath has been arrested and is currently in police custody. Investigators are working to determine the exact motive behind the crime, though initial reports suggest the argument may have been the trigger. The Seshadripuram Police Station is handling the case and has assured a thorough investigation.

This tragic incident has once again raised concerns about domestic violence and the safety of individuals in live-in relationships. Authorities are urging people to seek help and report any signs of abuse or conflict before situations escalate to such extremes.
