An X post has alleged that the death of Dewas district police department’s duty-bound TI Dilip Puri was not a normal accident but a murder carried out by illegal liquor mafias.

The post accused the “shameless khadi” of spilling more “khaki” blood for illegal financial gains. It said that if the government had learned from the deaths caused by poisonous liquor in Sagar district, the incident in Dewas district would not have been repeated and brave police officer Dilip Puri would still have been among the living.

Addressing the Chief Minister, the post said, “Chief Minister, you cannot free yourself from this heinous crime. You are the head of the state as well as the Home Department.” It questioned whether a press note issued only by the Public Relations Department would be enough when “a one-year-old son will have to spend his entire life making continuous unsuccessful attempts to find his ‘Papa’”. The post then asked, “Who is guilty?”

It also referred to the killing of young IPS officer Shri Narendra Prasad in Morena in 2012. According to the post, employees and officers have been killed by illegal sand and liquor mafias in cases reported since then. It criticised the repeated statement, “This sacrifice will not go in vain,” and asked how long this “verbal repetition” would continue.

The post said, “Chief Minister, I too am the son of a policeman, so I am not unaware of what unbearable pain is.” It urged the Chief Minister to take note of the issue.

Taking a dig at the government’s approach of changing the names of cities, districts, towns, institutions and schemes, the post said the state should instead be renamed “Mady Pradesh”, protected by different kinds of mafias, calling this another “revolutionary decision”.

It also asked why politicians ultimately become cruel and insensitive.
