A large legal aid and services camp was organised at the Collectorate’s Tathagat Auditorium in Shravasti. The mega camp was held on the initiative of the District Legal Services Authority, with stalls set up by 34 government departments.

Departments including Health, Agriculture, Revenue and Social Welfare provided people with information about various government schemes. During the camp, the Agriculture Department distributed 2 tractors to eligible beneficiaries. Ten tricycles were also distributed to persons with disabilities.

The event was organised in accordance with the directions of District Judge Ramesh Chand (First) and the Uttar Pradesh State Legal Services Authority.

Anupriya, Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Shravasti, said the mega camp was being organised for the second time this year. She said its objective was to ensure that the benefits of government schemes and legal aid reached as many people as possible.

The initiative also focused on ensuring that eligible people received the benefits of government schemes without middlemen. Services from 34 departments were made available under one roof at the camp.
