Shravasti DM Orders Timely Child Data Updates, 100% Target Completion
The District Magistrate of Shravasti, Annapurna Garg, has directed officials to ensure that children’s data is updated on the e-Kavach app on time.
The District Magistrate of Shravasti, Annapurna Garg, has directed officials to ensure that children’s data is updated on the e-Kavach app on time. She also ordered the concerned officials to complete all assigned targets related to child nutrition and monitoring.
The directions were issued during a review meeting of the District Nutrition Committee held at the Collectorate auditorium in Shravasti on 30 October 2026. The meeting was chaired by District Magistrate Annapurna Garg.
During the meeting, Garg said the state government was committed to keeping newborns, children, pregnant women and lactating women healthy. She said the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) department was running several schemes for this purpose so that pregnant women could receive proper care and remain healthy.
The District Magistrate warned that strict action would be taken against any official found negligent in carrying out these responsibilities.
The meeting reviewed the feeding of FRS, or the Face Recognition System, on the Poshan Tracker app, along with efficiency measurement feeding. As the progress in these areas was found to be low, all Child Development Project Officers, or CDPOs, were directed to achieve 100 per cent of the assigned targets.
Garg also instructed officials to ensure that all Anganwadi centres opened every day. She directed Child Development Project Officers and chief workers to regularly visit the Anganwadi centres.
The meeting also discussed several other areas related to nutrition monitoring. These included growth monitoring of children on the Poshan Tracker app, THR feeding, door-to-door visits and Aadhaar verification.
Officials also reviewed the management of SAM children on the e-Kavach app, children who had improved from the SAM category to the MAM category and from the SAM category to the normal category. The follow-up of all children on e-Kavach and growth management were also discussed in detail.
The District Magistrate further directed officials to ensure that all eligible beneficiaries received nutrition food according to the prescribed standards. The instruction came after the distribution of THR through FRS on the Poshan Tracker app was found to be the lowest.
The meeting was conducted by District Programme Officer Arvind Rastogi.
Chief Development Officer Shahid Ahmad, District Development Officer Ramsamujh, DC NRLM Sandeep Kumar, in-charge medical officers, Development Partners, all Child Development Project Officers, chief workers and other employees were present.
