Panchayat Assistant Instructed to Help Villagers Access Government Schemes at Secretariat

A meeting on the work and responsibilities of the panchayat assistant was held in Devarakheda village in the Baniyakheda area. The meeting focused on the progress of panchayat development work and the role of the panchayat assistant in helping villagers access government services.

The meeting was organised in Gram Panchayat Devarakheda of the Baniyakheda area of Chandausi block. The discussion covered the work being carried out by the panchayat and ways to speed up development-related activities.

Gram Panchayat Secretary Siddharth Parashar, ADO Panchayat Sunil Kumar Singh, Gram Pradhan Vidyaram, the panchayat assistant and other panchayat personnel were present at the meeting.

During the meeting, ADO Sunil Kumar Singh explained the panchayat assistant’s responsibilities in detail. He said the panchayat assistant must regularly sit at the Gram Panchayat Secretariat and help villagers apply online for birth and death certificates, family registers, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, toilets and other government schemes.

Sunil Kumar Singh said the government’s aim is to ensure that villagers receive the benefits of schemes at the panchayat level itself. For this reason, he said, the role of the panchayat assistant is very important.

The panchayat assistant was instructed to carry out the assigned work with complete honesty and transparency. The directions were issued in the context of making panchayat-related services easier for rural residents and ensuring progress in development work.

Gram Pradhan Vidyaram said that the arrival of the panchayat assistant had made panchayat work considerably easier. He added that villagers no longer had to make repeated trips to the block for these tasks.

Secretary Siddharth Parashar, who was also present at the meeting, provided information about the progress of development work in the panchayat.
