Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav’s verbal slip from stage: ‘Murdabad’ slogan raised for JP Nadda, then corrected to ‘Zindabad’
Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav is once again in the spotlight over a statement made in public. This time, the issue is not related to a political decision or an attack on the opposition. It concerns a verbal slip while he was leading slogans from the stage, after which the name of BJP national president JP Nadda was followed by the word ‘Murdabad’.
A video of the incident is going viral on social media. In the video, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav can be seen leading slogans from the stage. During the slogan-raising, he suddenly says ‘Murdabad’ along with the name of JP Nadda.
The Chief Minister appears to realise the mistake almost immediately. He then corrects himself and is heard leading the slogan ‘Zindabad’. By that time, however, the camera had captured the moment.
The video is now spreading rapidly on social media. People are reacting to the verbal slip in different ways and discussing the words used by the Chief Minister during the slogan-raising.
‘Murdabad’ for one of his own leaders?
Leaders often raise slogans with enthusiasm at political events. However, the use of the word ‘Murdabad’ for a top leader of his own party by a person holding the post of Chief Minister has become a topic of discussion.
The incident has also raised a question about whether it was merely a slip of the tongue or whether an uncomfortable situation developed during the slogan-raising on the stage.
For now, the video continues to be widely discussed on social media. The incident has also given opponents an opportunity to take a dig at Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.
