A Historic Return to Sepang

The Sepang International Circuit, located outside Kuala Lumpur, was previously home to the Malaysian Grand Prix before its removal from the F1 calendar in 2017. This unexpected return has been officially designated as the “Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia,” pending final approvals from the World Motor Sport Council.

F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali highlighted Sepang’s legacy in the sport, calling it a venue with a “special place in Formula One history.” He added that the circuit promises a “spectacular setting for racing” and an “unforgettable experience” for fans both on-site and worldwide.
