A remarkable blend of patriotism and music was seen at the provincial-level National Group Song Competition organised by the Bharat Vikas Parishad’s Rohilkhand West Province. The competition was held at Vatika Hotel and Resort in Patwai, Rampur.
The event was dedicated to values and patriotism. Teams from different districts of the Rohilkhand West Province, including Rampur, Sambhal, Moradabad, Bareilly and Badaun, took part in the competition. Other districts also participated.
The judging panel included Dr. Raina Sharma. The panel played an important role in carefully assessing the performances presented by the participating teams.
The programme began with the lighting of a lamp before portraits of Bharat Mata and Swami Vivekananda ji. This was followed by the singing of Vande Mataram.
The group song performances by the children and young people were filled with patriotic feeling. Their presentations created an atmosphere that moved the audience deeply. The auditorium echoed with the melodies of patriotic songs, including “ऐ मेरे वतन के लोगों”, “भारत हमको जान से प्यारा है” and “नफरत की लाठी तोड़ो”.
The energy shown by all the contestants was appreciated. Their discipline, unity in performance and dedication to music were also described as remarkable and praiseworthy. The teams presented their songs together with strong coordination and enthusiasm.
The members of the judging panel evaluated all the performances in detail. They said that competitions of this kind help children develop values, discipline, team spirit and a deeper feeling of love for the country from an early age.
The judging panel also said that such an effort is especially praiseworthy at a time when young people are being drawn towards Western culture. According to the panel, the Bharat Vikas Parishad’s initiative helps keep patriotic values and cultural learning connected with the participation of children and young people.
At the end of the competition, the winning teams were honoured with awards. Certificates were also given to all the participants to encourage them.
The successful and memorable event was credited to the organising team, especially the president, secretary and all office-bearers of the Bharat Vikas Parishad’s Rampur branch.
