Centre Approves ₹1,900 Crore Crop Insurance Payments for Andhra Farmers

The Central government has agreed to release ₹1,900 crore in unpaid crop insurance premiums owed to farmers in Andhra Pradesh between 2019 and 2024. These funds will be disbursed in instalments and credited directly into farmers' accounts, according to a statement from Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Minister K. Atchannaidu on Saturday.
