BJP Declares Zero Tolerance for Exam Fraud Amid NEET Controversy
BJP's NV Subash criticizes Rahul Gandhi for politicizing NEET concerns, emphasizing zero tolerance for exam fraud and commitment to student welfare.
The BJP has reiterated its commitment to maintaining zero tolerance for examination fraud, with state chief spokesperson NV Subash emphasizing the party’s focus on ensuring transparency and merit in education. Speaking on Thursday, Subash criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for allegedly politicizing students' concerns over the NEET examination, stating that education should not be used as a platform for political opportunism. “Students are not political tools, and every examination-related challenge cannot be converted into an opportunity for Rahul Gandhi to launch a political campaign,” he said.
Highlighting the Narendra Modi-led government's proactive measures to combat paper leaks and cheating in exams, Subash pointed to the enactment of the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act. He noted that this legislation, along with stricter penalties for offenders and enhanced powers for investigative agencies, reflects the government’s commitment to tackling organized cheating syndicates. Additionally, technology-driven reforms have been introduced to strengthen examination systems and ensure fairness. “Under PM Narendra Modi, there is zero tolerance for examination fraud,” Subash asserted.
The BJP spokesperson also stressed the party's dedication to standing by students, strengthening educational institutions, and fostering a system where success is determined solely by merit. He underlined that the government’s approach aims to protect the integrity of examinations while safeguarding the aspirations of millions of students across the country.
Separately, the BJP highlighted Prime Minister Modi’s focus on the safety and well-being of Indian citizens. The party stated that Modi has consistently demonstrated that the life of every Indian, whether on land or at sea, remains a top national priority. This commitment, according to the BJP, reflects the government’s broader vision of ensuring security and welfare for all.
