Parimal Nathwani wins Rajya Sabha seat, thanks Jharkhand and PM Modi

Parimal Nathwani, the NDA-backed candidate for the Rajya Sabha, has expressed his gratitude to the people of Jharkhand following his victory in the elections. Nathwani defeated Congress candidate Pranav Jha to secure his seat in the upper house.

Speaking to the media, Nathwani extended his thanks to the people of Jharkhand, particularly the MLAs who supported him during the election process. He also acknowledged the role of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in facilitating his nomination and assisting him throughout the campaign.

"I am grateful to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the BJP leaders, workers, and volunteers who supported and voted for me," Nathwani said. He assured that he would continue working for the development of Jharkhand.

Nathwani revealed that out of the 30 votes he received, 28 were deemed valid, while two were rejected due to technical reasons. Reacting to the outcome, Jharkhand BJP President Aditya Sahu stated that the result reflects the people's rejection of the Congress party and their acceptance of the BJP's ideology. "The respected MLAs of Jharkhand have rejected the Congress party and embraced the BJP's vision," he said.

Sahu also praised Prime Minister Modi's leadership, saying, "If anyone can do good for this country and this state, it is Narendra Modi. His work speaks volumes." BJP MLA Neera Yadav echoed similar sentiments, thanking the MLAs for their cooperation and thoughtful voting during the election.

However, the Congress party criticized the outcome, with Congress leader Rajesh Thakur calling the victory a "tragic" and "shameful incident for democracy." Thakur alleged that MPs were being "purchased" across the country, citing incidents in Maharashtra and West Bengal, and claimed similar practices occurred in Jharkhand.
