Balakrishna Injured on Set of 'NBK 111', Surgery Recommended

Actor and Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna sustained a knee injury while filming an action sequence for his upcoming movie NBK 111 at the Kakinada deep-sea port on Tuesday, July 21, 2026. The injury, confirmed to be a muscle tear, occurred when he slipped and fell on the set.

East Godavari Superintendent of Police G. Bindu Madhav confirmed the incident, stating, “Mr. Balakrishna had slipped and fallen on the film set at the Kakinada deep-sea port, leading to an injury on his knee.”

Minor Surgery Recommended

Director Gopichand Malineni, who helms NBK 111, addressed the situation on X (formerly Twitter), revealing that Balakrishna will require minor surgery to fully recover. “During the shooting in Kakinada, Nandamuri Balakrishna sustained a minor muscle tear in an action sequence. He needs to undergo a minor surgery to recover fully, as per the doctors’ advice,” Malineni wrote.

The actor has been shifted to a private hospital in Kakinada city for medical attention.
