Andhra Pradesh CID asks AgriGold victims to bring original bonds for verification
Andhra Pradesh CID will verify and register original AgriGold bonds and receipts at designated centres. Documents need not be surrendered.
The Andhra Pradesh CID is constituting special teams at designated locations to verify and register original AgriGold bonds and receipts. District-wise addresses and dates for the verification centres will be announced separately.
The appeal was issued on Tuesday (October 6, 2026), after a recent decision by the five-member Group of Ministers constituted by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to review issues concerning AgriGold depositors and facilitate relief to victims.
The CID has appealed to AgriGold depositors, victims, nominees, legal heirs and agents to bring their original bonds and receipts to the designated centres. It clarified that the original documents will only be examined and do not need to be surrendered.
Documents required from depositors
Living depositors have been asked to produce the original bond along with a signed colour photocopy. They must also bring their Aadhaar, PAN, bank passbook, latest photograph and mobile numbers. Depositors have been asked to provide agent details as well, if available.
The CID said all details, including bond numbers, should be clearly visible on the documents. The colour copies must be signed by the depositor, nominee or legal heir, as applicable.
Requirements for nominees and legal heirs
Nominees of deceased depositors must submit the bond, death certificate, identity documents, family certificate, bank details and photograph.
In cases where both the depositor and nominee are deceased, the legal heirs must produce the relevant death certificates, identity documents, legal-heir or family certificate, bank details and other prescribed records.
Depositors who are unable to attend personally can authorise a family member to appear on their behalf. The authorised family member must provide proof of relationship and an authorisation letter.
Instructions for agents
Agents submitting bonds must show each original bond and submit signed colour copies. They must also record the individual bond numbers and provide their Aadhaar, PAN, bank details, photograph, mobile number and agent code.
An acknowledgement receipt will be issued for documents submitted during the verification process.
Verification centres and Guntur contacts
The verification centres are being established at the district police headquarters of the 13 erstwhile districts. They will function from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
