Alo Yoga logs record HK$20 million first-week sales at Hong Kong mall
Alo Yoga's Hong Kong flagship recorded nearly HK$20 million in first-week sales, the highest among new K11 Musea stores in its category.
Alo Yoga is set to hold the official grand opening of its first Greater China flagship at K11 Musea in Tsim Sha Tsui on Friday evening.
The announcement follows first-week sales of nearly HK$20 million (US$2.6 million), giving the American athleisure brand the highest first-week sales among new stores at the mall, excluding jewellery and watch retailers.
Two-storey flagship drives opening-week sales
The sales were generated by Alo Yoga’s two-storey, 7,000 square foot flagship, which occupies the former premises of British luxury food retailer Fortnum & Mason.
The brand soft opened the store on September 25, marking its entry into Greater China through the Hong Kong location.
Fortnum & Mason closed its Hong Kong outlet in January.
Alo Yoga’s opening-week performance broke the record at the luxury waterfront shopping centre for new stores within the stated comparison, which excludes jewellery and watch retailers.
The nearly HK$20 million figure highlights growing appetite for premium wellness products as Hong Kong’s retail recovery remains uneven.
The result gives the brand a strong start in the market even before the store’s official grand opening.
