Ujjain Development Authority pays ₹9.02 crore to 30 farmers for land acquisition

The Ujjain Development Authority has distributed compensation amounting to ₹9.02 crore to 30 farmers whose land was acquired for the construction of 50 kilometres of roads under the Simhastha-2028 development project. The compensation was disbursed for land that was acquired through mutual consent for infrastructure works planned as part of the upcoming Simhastha festival.

The development authority emphasized that this step reflects its commitment to protecting farmers' interests while accelerating development work for Simhastha-2028. The farmers received appropriate compensation according to the prescribed regulations and norms. They expressed satisfaction with the prompt and transparent action taken by the authority in processing their compensation claims.

Following the directives of Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav, the authority stated it is giving top priority to farmers' welfare. The documentation process for the remaining farmers whose land has been acquired is being completed, and they will also be paid their compensation shortly. The authority is working to ensure that development for the mega religious event proceeds smoothly while maintaining a transparent system and safeguarding the interests of land-owning farmers affected by the infrastructure projects.
