Two motorcyclists killed in head-on collision near Kanpur without helmets

Two youths were killed in a head-on collision between two speeding motorcycles near Rura Mod on the Kanpur-Bidhuna Road in Kanpur Dehat district. Both riders died after their vehicles crashed into each other with great force in a tragic road accident.

The deceased have been identified as Raj, 30 years old, a resident of Unnao, and Diwakar, 27 years old, a resident of Simramau, Banipara. Raj was returning home from his sister's house located in Rasulabad, while Diwakar was travelling back home from his in-laws' place when the accident took place.

Passersby immediately rushed both riders to the hospital with their help following the collision. However, doctors declared them dead on arrival at the medical facility.

According to Shivli Kotwali police, neither of the two motorcycle riders was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. Both victims suffered severe head injuries in the crash, and they succumbed to their injuries by the time they reached the hospital. Police officials stated that if both riders had been wearing helmets, their lives might possibly have been saved.

Police reached the spot as soon as information about the incident was received. The police have taken possession of both bodies and sent them for post-mortem examination. Shivli Kotwali police have launched an investigation into the case and are looking into the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
