Two children killed after mud house roof collapses during heavy rain in Kanpur

Two children died and their father was injured after the roof of a mud house collapsed during heavy rain in Jarsen village under Moosanagar police station area in Kanpur Dehat.

The roof of the dilapidated structure came crashing down during intense rainfall, trapping family members under the debris. The incident claimed the lives of two young children in a tragic accident, while their father sustained injuries.

Screams and cries filled the air at the spot following the accident. Villagers from nearby areas immediately launched rescue operations and after strenuous efforts removed the rubble to pull out those trapped underneath. A seven-year-old girl and a three-year-old child died in the incident. The injured father has been sent to hospital for treatment.

News of the two children's deaths sent the family into shock and chaos. Police also reached the spot on being informed and gathered information about the incident. The accident, which occurred amid continuous rainfall, has cast a pall of gloom over the village.
