Kanpur Dehat Schools Closed For Classes 1-12 On September 26 Amid Heavy Rain

In Kanpur Dehat, all schools from Class 1 to Class 12 will remain closed on September 26 because of continuous heavy rainfall and waterlogging in the district, according to an order issued by the administration.

The decision has been taken keeping the safety of children in mind. Acting District Magistrate Vidhan Jaiswal has declared a holiday on September 26 in all schools up to Class 12. During this period, all educational activities will remain completely suspended.

The district administration issued the order considering the safety of students and the possible difficulties they may face in commuting during heavy rain and waterlogging.

The order will apply to all boards. The holiday is mandatory for schools affiliated with CBSE, ICSE, the UP Board, and all other recognised schools.

The order will also apply equally to all types of schools in the district. Government schools, aided educational institutions, and private schools will all remain closed under the directive.

The District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) and the Basic Education Officer (BSA) have been instructed to ensure strict compliance with the order. The administration has said that strict action will be taken against schools found negligent or failing to follow the directive.

The administration has also appealed to parents and children to remain safe during the rain. It has advised them not to step out of their homes without any reason while the heavy rainfall situation continues.
