Sub-Inspector Arun Chahar Given Full State Honours After Road Accident Death

Muzaffarnagar Police gave a final salute with full state honours to late Sub-Inspector Arun Chahar, who died while undergoing treatment after being seriously injured in a road accident in the Jansath police station area.

The accident took place on the night of 24 October. Arun Chahar was the in-charge of the Stadium outpost of the Civil Lines police station. He had gone to Jansath for official work and was returning when he was seriously injured in the road accident.

After receiving information about the incident, police officers reached the spot. A special investigation team has been formed to investigate the causes of the accident.

On Sunday, a guard of honour and final salute were given to the late Sub-Inspector Arun Chahar at the Muzaffarnagar Police Lines. The ceremony was held with full state honours.

Senior Superintendent of Police Suraj Kumar Rai, SP City Amrit Jain, SP Rural Akshay Sanjay Mahadik, SP Crime Indu Siddharth and SP Traffic Atul Kumar Chaubey, along with other police officers and personnel, paid tribute to him.

The officers and police personnel placed flowers on the mortal remains of Arun Chahar. After the ceremony, the mortal remains were handed over to his family with state honours and sent to his residence.

The untimely death of the Sub-Inspector has caused grief across the Muzaffarnagar Police family. The police expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family and assured them of all possible assistance.

According to the police, necessary action is being taken to ensure that the family receives service-related benefits as per the rules. Steps are also being taken to provide the facilities admissible under the police salary package.

The investigation into the road accident will be conducted by the special investigation team formed for the purpose.
