Shiv Sena Mahila Morcha Holds Free Mehendi Event for 100 Women

On the occasion of Karwa Chauth, the Shiv Sena (Bhavani Sena) Mahila Morcha organised a free mehendi programme at the Shiv Sena office located at Prakash Chowk in Muzaffarnagar district. The programme was held under the leadership of Mahila Morcha district president Poonam Chaudhary.

Around 100 women had mehendi applied to their hands free of cost during the event. The women showed considerable enthusiasm during the programme.

Poonam Chaudhary said that the Mahila Morcha has been organising this programme continuously on Karwa Chauth for the past five years. She said that this year too, daughters and young women associated with the organisation applied mehendi to the hands of women.

According to Poonam Chaudhary, the purpose of the programme is to promote Indian culture and traditions and strengthen the feeling of love, cooperation and unity among women. She also said that providing opportunities for local daughters and women artists to move forward is among the organisation’s priorities.

Poonam Chaudhary announced that the programme would continue to be organised every year in the future as well.

District vice-presidents Savita Gautam and Poonam Chahal, district general secretary Rakhi Prajapati, Suman Prajapati, organisation minister Anita Prajapati and treasurer Nisha Verma were among those present at the event. Many other office-bearers and workers of the Mahila Morcha also attended the programme.

At the end of the event, Poonam Chaudhary thanked all the associates and the women who participated in the programme. She also extended her wishes for Karwa Chauth.
