Sambhal witnessed peaceful voting in the Legislative Council election on Friday, with the polling process at the booth located in Tehsil Sadar being completed in a cordial atmosphere. The voting began at 8 am, and teacher voters showed strong enthusiasm throughout the process.

The administration had made tight and comprehensive security arrangements in the tehsil premises. Because of these arrangements, no information about any untoward incident was received from anywhere during the polling.

After the peaceful completion of voting, Bharatiya Janata Party teacher MLC candidate Dr. Hari Singh Dhillon suddenly reached the tehsil premises, where party office-bearers and workers were present. His arrival brought a visible wave of energy and excitement among the BJP workers gathered there.

Dr. Dhillon met the party workers, booth agents and supporters who had remained at the spot since the morning. He met them one by one and expressed his heartfelt gratitude for their work. He also thanked them for the tireless effort and cooperation they had extended during the voting process.

The most notable moment came when Dr. Hari Singh Dhillon joined all the party office-bearers and workers in raising their hands to make a Victory (V) sign. The gathering expressed confidence in a resounding victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party. The workers also raised the slogan, “अबकी बार, शिक्षक परिषद में भाजपा”: “This time, BJP in the Teachers’ Council.”

BJP workers and teacher supporters present at the spot said that the teaching community had placed complete trust in the party’s education, nationalism and teacher-friendly policies this time. They said Dr. Hari Singh Dhillon’s clean and simple image, along with his continued struggle for the interests of teachers, would certainly benefit the party.

Senior BJP office-bearers present at the tehsil premises claimed that the teacher MLC election would be won by the BJP with a historic and heavy majority. They said the way teachers had participated in the voting in large numbers showed that the public mood was in favour of the BJP.

According to the party office-bearers, an atmosphere of victory had begun to take shape across the entire Sambhal district soon after polling ended. BJP workers are now eagerly waiting for the counting of votes.

The peaceful completion of voting and the gathering of party workers at the tehsil premises added to the enthusiasm within the BJP camp. Dr. Dhillon’s interaction with the workers and the collective Victory (V) sign became the main highlight after polling concluded.
