Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav may personally visit districts to check the implementation of government schemes and the quality of services being provided to citizens. During the Janvishwas campaign held across the state every Friday, the Chief Minister may arrive in any district for an unannounced inspection. The indication that advance notice may not be given has put the administrative machinery on alert.

Collectors, superintendents of police and other officials posted in the districts have started reviewing arrangements. The Chief Minister may inspect a hospital, school, anganwadi, ration shop or another government institution without prior notice. Officials are therefore expected to ensure that public services are functioning properly on the ground.

Officials asked to reach people instead of staying in offices

Dr Mohan Yadav has directed officials to go into the field every Friday instead of limiting reviews to office meetings. They have been asked to interact directly with citizens, hear their problems and ensure timely resolution.

The Janvishwas campaign aims to make government services more effective and resolve public grievances within a specified time. The Chief Minister wants officials to assess the progress of schemes through field-level reality rather than paperwork alone.

Hospitals, schools and ration shops may come under review

With possible surprise visits by the Chief Minister, arrangements at government institutions have become a priority. Patient facilities in hospitals, teaching arrangements in schools, services provided to children at anganwadis and distribution at ration shops may all be examined.

Development works in the districts and the status of grievance redressal under the Janvishwas campaign may also form part of the review.

District administration and field staff on alert

The possibility of the Chief Minister arriving without prior notice has made district officials more vigilant. The challenge is not only to keep records updated, but also to ensure that government schemes are actually reaching people.

Officials will be expected to act quickly on public complaints and regularly monitor field arrangements.

Work must be visible on the ground

Potential surprise inspections during the Janvishwas campaign could test administrative accountability. If disorder or shortcomings in implementation are found at an institution, the officials concerned may be asked to explain.

Friday could therefore test the gap between claims recorded in files and the facilities available to ordinary citizens on the ground.
