Eid Milad-un-Nabi celebrated with processions across Amethi district towns

Eid Milad-un-Nabi, the birthday of Prophet Muhammad, is being celebrated with great fervour across Amethi district, with processions and gatherings held in multiple towns to mark the occasion. The celebrations, known as Jashn-e-Eid Milad-un-Nabi, saw large numbers of devotees taking out processions with traditional splendour and religious enthusiasm.

The processions, organised by various anjumans and community groups, carried the message of brotherhood and communal harmony through religious slogans and salutations in honour of Prophet Muhammad. Participants emphasised the teachings of the Prophet, calling for peace, unity, and mutual respect among all sections of society. The events highlighted the importance of adopting the values preached by the Prophet in everyday life.

Processions were taken out in several key towns across the district, including Amethi, Jais, Musafirkhana, Gauriganj, and Jagdishpur. Each procession attracted substantial crowds, with devotees marching through the streets in a show of faith and devotion. The atmosphere was charged with religious fervour as people gathered to participate in the celebrations.

The entire exercise was conducted under the watchful presence of the police administration, which ensured smooth passage of the processions and maintained law and order throughout. Authorities had made necessary security arrangements to facilitate peaceful celebrations and prevent any untoward incidents.

Eid Milad-un-Nabi is observed annually by Muslims worldwide to commemorate the birth of Prophet Muhammad, and in Amethi, as in many parts of India, the occasion is marked with community gatherings, prayers, and processions that underscore the message of peace and communal solidarity.
