According to the official transfer list, several senior officers have been assigned fresh responsibilities, marking significant changes in the state’s law enforcement structure.
One of the most prominent changes is in the Lucknow Police Commissionerate, where Amarendra K. Sengar has been removed from the post of Police Commissioner and appointed as Director General (Intelligence). Tarun Gaba has been named the new Police Commissioner of Lucknow. Similarly, Piyush Maurya has been appointed as the Police Commissioner of Prayagraj.
In other notable changes, Ram Kumar has been assigned as Additional Director General (ADG) of Gorakhpur Zone, while Naveen Arora will now serve as ADG of Varanasi Zone. Dharmveer has been transferred to the role of Inspector General (IG) PAC Eastern Zone, Prayagraj, and Vinod Kumar Singh has been made IG Special Investigation, Lucknow. Jogendra Kumar will take charge as IG PTS Muradabad.
The reshuffle also includes Anoop Kumar Singh, who has been appointed as Superintendent of Police (SP) Economic Offenses Wing (EOW), Lucknow. Anand Kumar has been linked to the Police Headquarters as SP of the Public Grievance Cell. Additionally, Ashok Jain has been transferred to the role of Director General, Fire Services and Emergency Headquarters, Lucknow.
This administrative overhaul is expected to impact the functioning of the police force in several regions, with the government aiming to enhance efficiency and address critical law and order issues. Such large-scale transfers often reflect efforts to align leadership with the state’s evolving priorities in governance and public safety.
